Granite & Quartzite

granite

Granite countertops have been the standard for many years because it's a natural stone with great durability. Granite is available in a range of dark and light colors with all sorts of flecks and variations. Quartzite is the hardest natural stone next to a diamond - so it is going to withstand even more than granite. Each slab can vary, so we recommend viewing your slab or a picture if possible before selecting.

Marble

marble

This natural stone instantly elevates a space, giving a clean, contemporary feel. There's nothing else that looks quite like a bright white marble finish, but marble countertops are available in other colors as well, including shades of gray, brown, taupe, and even green. No two marble countertops are exactly alike. Marble is porous though, so we want to make sure our clients are aware that staining can occur easily.

Quartz

Do you have a large family, cook a lot of meals or just want to make sure you invest in an all-around durable countertop that's built to last? Then quartz could be the best choice for you. You might be surprised to learn that quartz countertops aren't made of 100 percent quartz but rather they are a composite stone engineered from natural quartz combined with a resin binder.

How do I care for Granite or Quartzite?

Granite and quartzite are both heat-resistant and scratch resistant. We recommend not putting hot pans directly onto the tops. Natural stone is non-porous once sealed, so normal routine cleaning and resealing when they start to look more worn will keep granite in great shape for years and years!

How do I care for Marble?

While beautiful, this stone is not the most practical choice, as it is softer and more porous than other natural stones. We do not recommend using for kitchens or anywhere acid food or dyes will be used as the stone will etch or stain easily. Marble can bring a classic look to any room, its just good to be educated on its properties!

How do I care for Quartz?

Quartz is a man-made, non-porous, resin based material, making it the easiest countertop to take care of due to not having to reseal it. We suggest normal soap and water to keep quartz looking great. Quartz allows for the bright white aesthetic that everyone has been wanting, and is a great investment for even the busiest of spaces!

Onyx

onyx

Onyx stone is the only semi-precious stone that is used for both jewelry and home interiors (i.e. countertops, vanities, etc..) That’s an accomplishment! The beauty of onyx draws many people in. The ability to 'backlight' onyx makes it great for accent areas and wall panels.

Quartzite

quartzite

Quartzite is the hardest and most durable selection that we offer! Quartzite offers outstanding scratch and stain resistance. Although some of the looks are similar to marble, quartzite will not etch when exposed to acidic materials. When selecting a quartzite stone, it is best to be aware that the slabs vary depending on where they are cut from, so it is best to view the slab before purchasing.

How do I care for Onyx?

Onyx countertops require special care to retain their beauty. Onyx must be sealed upon installation and re-sealed at regular intervals, and should be polished occasionally. If there are spills, the stone should be cleaned immediately using a special formula cleaner. With proper care, your onyx will last for years. (onyxcountertops.org)

How do I care for Quartzite?

We recommend using a non-acidic, low pH cleanser such as mild soap and water or stone-specific cleaners easily found at your local retailer. Quartzite does need to be resealed periodically to ensure it stays looking its best.
